Garden Lime (Calcium Carbonate)

Used as a neutralising agent to correct the pH in soils and potting composts. Helps to release nutrients locked up in the soil and assists in preventing club root in brassicas and other root crops. Do not use prior to planting potatoes as it may cause scab.

Analysis

• Ground Limestone (97.5%)
• 50% passing through a 150 micron seive
• Neutralising value expressed as (CaCo NV 54%)

Usage

Using lime will neutralise acidic soils and release nutrients that become locked in acidic soils. Use at 35-70gm per square metre to raise the pH by approximately 0.5 units.
